My English Project

In class we had to do a project based on Ulysses' adventures (which is basically an abridged version of The Odyssey) You could write a poem or song (which we did, in case you didn't notice), make posters about Ulysses' stops in his journey, pretend you are a travel agent and downplay any dangers and sell one of his stops in a paragraph, make a scapbook of his journey, or present Ulysses in a trial before the Greek gods. A lot of people did the posters or scrapbook. My friend Alisha and I put together an iMovie with our song. Watch the bloopers at the end, they are really funny!

Lyrics: (In case you couldn't understand us, haha)

Ulysses won a war,
Using the Trojan Horse,
He bragged and got Poseidon mad,
Sailed away with the few men he had,
Landing on an island,
Ciconians fought them off land,
Then they got on their boats,
He spared the rest of his men,
dumped the gold and lured the naiads
naiads.
Ate Lotus flowers, and stayed there
 for many years,
Ulysses woke from a trance,
Escaping with a small chance,
He made it thinking of home,
He used determination all along,
But of course that didn’t last long,
He ran into a Cyclops cave,
what he did next was brave,
He wanted to eat Ulysses,
But he was smart when he said his name,
Nobody
Blinded the Cyclops,
and escaped losing
a few men,
The next adventure was filled with winds,
Ulysses couldn’t guard the bags,
Saw what he thought were trees,
He started to climb,
Cannibal,
Fought him,
lost men,
left the,
island,
Hermes’ flower
made him
safe from,
Cirrrrrcee
Went to Land of the Dead
Got advice and then fled.
Saw the wandering rocks.
Avoiding the monsters
Heard the luring Syrens’ songs
Scylla and Charybdis killed some,
killed some.
Ate forbidden cattle, Calypso found
Ulysses and love.
Found Nausicaa and went home.
Won a contest to marry his wife
Was finally safe at home.
With his wife
